Welcome to my website!

Hello All!

I want to welcome you all to my new website and say thank you for checking out my blog! My goal with this blog is to share my experiences of my musical journey and to share the projects I am working on in my daily practice. I want these blogs to start a conversation with other musicians across the globe and I encourage you to contact me with any questions or comments.

I know that this is a strange time and that musicians are working to find unique ways to connect with their ensembles. Whether it is Zoom, Microsoft teams, or even just a phone call, most of us are not used to communicating in this fashion. I wanted to leave a little note of encouragement to keep trying new formats and find one you are comfortable with and use this time to grow your online communication skills as a musician.

Before I sign off, I wanted to share a video of amazing exercises percussionists can work on while at home. The amazing Mark Ford from the University of North Texas has shared how he has been practicing his one-handed marimba rolls on the floor
